Position Description:JTEC is hiring a Data Engineer with financial reporting experience to support our work on the DoD ADVANA advancing analytics platform. This position requires broad techical and functional expertise working with DoD data. Qualified candidates will have recent experience supporting the U.S. military in a Data Science, Data Visualization, or Data Engineering focused role and possess a deep understanding of developing and advancing data-driven platform capabilities.
Duties and responsibilities include:Work as part of a collaborative team of government and contractor staff providing data expertise to support and streamline mission-focused data analysis.Support application codebase for financial management portfolio standardizing financial reporting across DoDGuide automation development and improve data quality to create visually compelling data analytics.Support defense leadership and stakeholders providing actionable insights.Work with a blended cross-functional team supporting multi-phase solution development with a focus on data analysis, data transformation, and change management.Support evidence-based decision-making using data analysis and statistical modeling.Leverage historical and predictive data analytics to identify opportunities for cost savings, optimize resources, and predict trends.Support scenario analysis to identify strategic opportunities to meet organizational goals.Implement performance metrics and support continuous evaluation and improvements.Participate in requirements meetings, workshops, and meetings with leadership and stakeholders, as required.Education and qualifications include:
U.S. citizenshipCurrent U.S. government security clearance (secret at a minimum)5+ years of data and software solutioning expertise including:
Recent related experience supporting a very large data environment for a DoD and/or IC customerExperience supporting application codebase and complianceExperience working with application codebase for financial reporting
Demonstrated expertise with digital strategyStrong working knowledge of enterprise architectureAbility to articulate challenges and solutions across the full SDLCExperience supporting data transformationPrior project management/technical lead experience in a related areaExtensive experience working with data visualization and dashboard development toolsAdvanced proficiency with Python, SQL, Spark, and data science technologiesExperience working with DataBricksDemonstrated experience creating data-related software applications from scratchAbility to articulate prior experience supporting military data problems and application solutionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate in a blended team environmentProven expertise and prior success supporting high-profile customer engagementsAvailability to support hybrid schedulePreferred experience includes:
Prior experience working with Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS) is a plusKnowledge of Qlik technologies including Qlik/Qlik Sense, QVD/QlikView, and Qlik Production Application Standards (QPAS) is highly desired

Salary:JTEC offers competitive compensation and benefits to all employees.
