Your team will be..Building an enterprise-wide cloud-native, web-scale platform and the tooling that surrounds it, that will be adopted by engineering teams across various business units within DISHDriving a customer-centric, highly personalized approach to the evolution of our platformContinuing our efforts to realize a robust hybrid cloud infrastructureDesigning and building service catalog, software templates, and developer portal offering to enable self-serviceEnabling the core platform services for our organization to consume

AWS, Kubernetes,

service discovery, DNS, IPAM, load balancing, etc.Maintain, and optimize cloud platform hosting massive, complex systems for performance, security, reliability, and scalabilityBuild & Manage advanced AWS services SSO, Organization, Service Catalog, Step Functions, Account Factory, Control Tower - Landing ZoneInnovate automation capabilities in the cloud platform and create new feature sets as per the application patterns for hosting in cloudHelping application development, operations, testing, and delivering software in an agile environment, continuously; supporting infrastructure teams realize what being “cloud native” is all aboutKey Responsibilities:Deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing AWS cloud-based production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of productions systemsBuild, release, and configuration management of production systemsPre-production Acceptance Testing to help assure the quality of our products/servicesSystem troubleshooting and problem-solving across platform and application domainsSuggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvementsA true believer in cloud-native, hybrid cloud, and continuous deploymentEvaluating new technology options and vendor productsEnsuring critical system security through the use of best-in-class cloud security solutions

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; a Master’s degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience10+ years of professional enterprise development experience4+ years experience using a broad range AWS technologies (e.g. EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS, Lambda, CloudTrail, Systems Manager, KMS, Kinesis Streams) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on Well-Architected FrameworkSkills and Qualifications:Hands-on design and coding experience on EKS, Rancher, Docker, Helm, Istio, ELK, Prometheus, Terraform, and PythonKubernetes – Strong building, troubleshooting, and management experiencePreferred Skills on Argo, Gitlab, Vault, Consul, Ansible, API Gateway, Kafka, DevOps conceptsDevOps: Experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime Amazon AWS environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools. CI/CD process setup and support (Jenkins AWS CodePipeline, GitLab, etc.)Industry certifications in Kubernetes (CKA and/or CKAD), DevOps, and Cloud Platforms are highly desirableHave experience building and managing hybrid cloud platforms supporting large, highly available enterprise-grade applicationsScripting Skills:AWS Infrastructure-as-a-Code using Terraform scriptingStrong scripting (e.g. Python ) and automation skillsOperating Systems: Linux/Ubuntu system administrationMonitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, New Relic, Pager Duty)Networking: Understanding network topologies and common network protocols and serviceDNSDNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP)

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $116,875.00/Year - $137,500.00/YearBenefits
