Position Summary

The City of Manassas is accepting applications for our

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Administrator I-II!

We are seeking a detail-oriented, well organized individual with a strong understanding of database management and database practices with SQL Server Database Administration, and understands complexities of data integrity. This position will also need an individual with strong customer service to provide technical assistance and support to City staff across the organization. Experience with Tyler Technologies, Munis/EnerGov is a plus!

This position may be filled as a ERP Administrator I or II based on qualifications of applicant

pool.

ERP Administrator I:

responsible for providing support the ERP system for the City and ERP technical assistance to City end users, requiring a strong understanding of database management and database practices.

ERP Administrator II:

responsible for providing technical work installing, implementing, maintaining, upgrading, securing, and repairing ERP computer systems for the City.

ERP I hiring range: $75,316.80 - $103,563.20, DOQ.

ERP II hiring range:

$79,102.40 - $108,763.20, DOQ.

Essential Job Functions

ERP Administrator I:Assists the ERP Administrator II with system administration activities to include role, user, upgrade administration, system monitoring, and other related activities.Assists the ERP Administrator II to ensure consistency in approach; acts as backup when necessary, and provide collaboration on all new modules or upgrades.Conducts testing for ERP system upgrades and patches as required.Coordinates activities with System Administrator, functional leads, and end-users.Serves as a liaison with the ERP vendor to address open tickets and collaborate with functional and technical teams to implement upgrades or fixes.Reviews tickets regularly for timely resolution or escalation when necessary.Performs installations of patches, peripheral driver updates, and other ERP-related software.Designs, develops, edits, and provides general support for ERP Forms and Reports. Develops/modifies reports using SSRS and Crystal Reports.Creates training documentation for ERP processes and conduct training sessions for end-users as needed.Performs troubleshooting and assists in resolving end-user ERP issues escalated from the IT Help Desk.Participates in annual ERP disaster recovery testing.Makes recommendations for new technology implementation.Performs other duties as assigned.ERP Administrator II:Administers ERP systems managing implementation of modules, upgrades, and maintenance of applications, databases, middleware, mobile devices, interfaces, and servers.Manages production and test environments ensuring appropriate access for patch testing.Administers database and application servers in a multi-instance environment.Performs operational support for ERP computer systems, software applications, servers, and ERP-related peripherals.Performs troubleshooting and assists in resolving end-user ERP issues escalated from the IT Help Desk.Conducts installation of new ERP software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and conducts database migrations, refreshes, and restores.Monitors system performance, troubleshoots issues, and coordinates with vendors for software modifications.Administers ERP security through role-based management and object level security.Assists in report generation using SSRS and Crystal Reports and provides scripting for automation.Creates documentation for ERP system procedures.Maintains access to the legacy IBM iSeries/AS-400 systems.Coordinates annual ERP disaster recovery testing.Makes recommendations for new technology implementation and works with vendors for optimal solutions.Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications

ERP Administrator I:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related fieldTwo year

ERP Administrator II:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related fieldFour years

of experience in database management/administration or related field
