Responsibilities You will troubleshoot NMCI network, system, and application issues to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems. You will ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services. You will report, plan, and coordinate projects to meet future needs. You will ensure and manage system resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, integrity, efficiency, and recoverability. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Basic Requirements: For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing and/or maintaining the components of an enterprise network and/or systems; 2) Demonstrating excellent communication, interpersonal, project management, and governance skills; 3) Problem solving, analyzing, and resolving conflict when working with a variety of departments and shareholders who may have different goals for a project; and 4) Managing or assisting in the management of Information Technology(IT) teams or employees. Education Additional Information This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 451, in which the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies. Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area Information Technology and category II assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
