Material Handler - 1st Shift
Position Summary
Maintains production capability and distribution of products. Pulls raw material from inventory; delivers materials and supplies.Manually packages materials and products.Stages finished product.
Performs Inventory Transactions, performs receiving duties and Inventory Cycle Counts.Enters and maintains data in Visual.Forklift certification required.
Primary Responsibilities
•Obtains job(s) from production.Package according to job/customer specifications.
•Prints order shipment schedule to prioritize the days work.
•Secures product into cartons and onto skids.
•Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
•Loads and unloads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
•Unloads and loads trucks of products and delivers to warehouse.
•Inserts packaging slip and address labels.
•Utilizes supplied software to log and print tracking labels.
•Utilizes PICK system.Prepares Bills of Lading and documents on Picking tickets.
•Completes daily labor report.
•Measures and cuts fiber and plastic cores to meet converting manufacturing requirements.
•Delivers bags, cores, plugs and boxes as required.
•Builds custom heat-treated skids and tops per order.
•Maintains 5S in warehouse.
•Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
•Fill out daily inspection sheets for hilos and electric hand trucks.Charge & check water levels.Change hilo batteries when needed. Makes simple adjustments or repairs such as oiling and greasing forklift truck.
•Other duties as assigned.
