As a Software Engineer, you'll design and develop software for the current and next generation of Tesla's Operating Systems (Tesla OS). In this role, you'll be developing highly complex applications with a team goal of streamlining business operations and improving overall user experience. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong desire to increase efficiencies and make an impact while contributing to a cross-functional team. Your ability to creatively collaborate and execute team goals will affect scalability and directly contribute to the company's mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy.

Responsibilities

Work with experienced engineers across many functional areas to deliver business value to internal and external stakeholdersDevelop scalable solutions using tools and languages like Angular, Golang, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and other open-stack frameworksDesign and develop new modules on the home-grown line-of-business applications collectively called "Tesla OS"Write code and check in to source control systems in accordance with Tesla's software development life cycle (SDLC) policiesFollow security standards and techniques for web applications to ensure that the software you develop is free of security vulnerabilitiesComplete all the tasks that your manager assigns to you from time to time and share updates regularlyContinuously develop and maintain unit testing, bug reports, and releases following Tesla's security best practices in all aspects of developmentRequirements

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, proof of exceptional skills in related fields with practical engineering, or equivalent experienceWeb application development using HTML, JavaScript, CSSRDBMS Programming using Microsoft SQL Server or MySQLUnit Testing and Integration TestingProgramming in C# and AngularExperience working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD)Deep understanding of REST and gRPC-based APIs and microservice architectureExcellent communication skillsCompensation and BenefitsBenefits

$104,000 - $348,000/annual salary, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
