Summary:Searching for a highly motivated

Application Engineer

to support the commercial/specialty vehicle market. The successful candidate will be the face of engineering within their assigned customers, while pursuing new business opportunities to increase component penetration, and providing Voice of the Customer (VoC) feedback to our internal engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate new component business opportunities through customer interaction and communicationCapture and understand customer requirements for new product applications (technical, timing, validation, etc.) and communicate to the internal organizationServe as "Voice of the Customer" (VoC)Define vehicle applicationsSupport internal quote process (i.e. F3X, Pre-PXRB, PXRB)Support internal and customer reviews (i.e. Design Reviews, Customer Technical Reviews, Customer Component Evaluation, Vehicle Packaging Review, etc.)Provide customer pre-launch/launch supportProvide customer formal and open issue trackingSupport customer and internal change management (technical details, coordination, timing, etc.)Ability and willingness to travel as needed (less than 25%)Ensure compliance with customer specific requirementsMust Haves (i.e. Basic Qualifications):

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering3+ years of experience automotive connection systems experience including Housings, Terminals and High Speed Cable Assemblies3 + years of experience with wiring design or manufacturing3+ years of experience in commercial/specialty vehicle including Class 6-8 Trucks, construction and agricultural vehiclesNice to Haves (i.e. Preferred Qualifications):

Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringPrevious experience with the design and manufacturing of injection molded plastics and stamped metalDemonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Visio, etc.)Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organizationStrong results-orientation and execution characteristicsExcellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a teamAbility to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independentlyResourcefully innovate and adapt in a rapidly changing environment
