Provide individual, group and family educational mental health and addictions counseling services to clients of PTHA.

CO-OCCURRING COUNSELOR FUNCTIONS:

Perform comprehensive screening and assessments of clients using approved methods. Provide greater than 24 hours (or 65% time for shorter weeks) of direct billable service to youth and adults.Develop collaborative individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, and review with clients regularly as required by licensing, applicable laws and other accreditation standards.Complete all patient discharges within 30 of completion of treatment and/or change in client status such as failure to engage in the EHR greater than 95% of the time.Accurately and efficiently enters all services provided in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system on date of service greater than 95% of the time.Manage caseload of clients with mental health, substance use, problem gambling and/or other addictions by providing outpatient and intensive outpatient one-on-one, family and group counseling for youth and/or adults, using approved curriculum and treatment modalities.Refer patients to internal and external resources as needed and monitor activities and progress.Ensure quality standards are met as required by regulating bodies and accrediting agencies.Interact and correspond by phone, in-person, and in writing with requesting agencies and others as required and ensure requests are addressed within two business days.Develop effective internal and external professional working relationships to enhance and ensure effective client services and to meet project goals/deadlines.Collaborate with internal marketing staff to create, design and implement marketing, outreach and other promotional/public awareness materials by the given deadline and present to Supervisor for approval.Maintain professional certifications and stay current on counseling techniques and practices including mental health, substance use, and problem gambling.Actively promote healthy lifestyle options in the community.Follow and adhere to all policies and procedures of offsite agencies and collaborates with agency staff as necessary to effectively and efficiently meet program requirements.Work directly with other departments providing behavioral health screening, brief intervention, brief therapy, and coordinate care and referrals to treatment for clients including MAT.Participate in Treatment Coordination Team (TCT) and other departmental collaborations as assigned.Participate in process improvement, program development and other initiatives as assigned by department administration.PREVENTION/INTERVENTION FUNCTIONS:

Plan, organize and participate in interdepartmental, tribal, community, and school-based activities to provide education, outreach, and prevention education services at least 8 hours per quarter.Collaborate with Chief Leschi Schools to identify high-risk youth and conduct student assistance services, which includes screening, pre-assessment, support, brief intervention, and necessary referrals. Provide timely follow-up with school, students, parents or legal guardians.Facilitate school-based recovery support (e.g. children of known users, high risk behaviors, etc.)Complete all documentation on the date of service and provide monthly status report to school and department or more frequently as needed or requested.Manage all aspects of the alumni association and alumni picnic. Provide monthly report of activities to the supervisor or more often if directed.Maintain program records and files (e.g. program evaluations, review, prevention, intervention, student recovery, etc.) for purposes of compiling and documenting activities in compliance with funding requirements and ability to provide reliable information as requested.Requirements

Master's Degree in Counseling or related field.Two (2) years' experience, within the last (48) months, providing counseling services to individuals, families and groups.Current and valid WA State Driver's License.Experience and/or ability to work with electronic health records/practice management systems.Experience with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and SBIRT programs preferred.In addition to the minimum requirements above, must meet one (1) of the below requirements:

Co-Occurring Counselor I

WA State Associate-License for Mental Health -AND- Trainee-License for Addictions (SUDP-T).Must have full licensure in either specialty within twelve (12) months of hire.ADD Behavioral Health Support Specialist with at least five (5) years addictions treatment experience may be considered.Co-Occurring Counselor II

Full WA State licensure in at least one (1) specialty (Mental Health or Addictions) and is working towards full-licensure within twelve (12) months of hire in the other specialtyCo-Occurring Counselor III

Dual full WA State licensure in both Mental Health -AND- Addictions.

Salary Description

$75,000 - $85,000 DOE
