Provides individual counseling and treatment/recovery plan preparation, monitoring and reviewFacilitates activities of daily living, community meetings, engagement, carrying out treatment planning in milieuProvide therapeutic interactions to foster patient's social, cognitive, and behavioral skill developmentProvide psychosocial interventions to teach skills for coping with urges, craving, impulsive behavior and cognitive distortions in thinking, motivational interviewing techniquesProvide individual, group and family counselingProvide multi-family group counselingPlan and facilitate interactions with residents within the milieu to build social, emotional, and behavioral functioningAssisting in supervision of activities related to establishing a treatment environmentPrepare and maintain case recordsJob Requirements:
Credentials Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor
CASAC
2+ years in a beahvioral health/substance use disorder treatment programHigh School Diploma or equivalent
