Introduction

Are you interested in providing mental health and substance abuse services with a committed team of mental health professionals who value quality client care, integrity, and teamwork? Prince William County's Supported Living Services Program is seeking qualified applicants to fill a part-time weekend Therapist II (Clinical Services Caseworker) position for a recovery oriented, community based clinical case management and mental health support services program. The program serves adults with serious mental illness or co-occurring serious mental illness and substance use disorders. The part-time weekend services are provided at an offsite residential home in the Woodbridge area. An ideal candidate will have experience providing community- based services to adults with serious mental illness and with co-occurring disorders. We offer clinical supervision for licensure.

About This Role:

If selected, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and will have opportunities to broaden clinical skills by providing services to diverse individuals in a variety of settings. This position has access to a county vehicle to support residents into the community. This position provides a laptop, cellphone, and all needed software to attend to the job duties and responsibilities. Some of the job responsibilities of this role include:If selected you will provide direct service Saturdays and Sundays to community members served by the Supported Living Services program. Your job responsibilities will include independently managing a caseload of up to 5 clients. This involves providing Mental Health Skill Building (MHSS) services to assigned skill building clients, providing education of clients through teaching onsite activities of daily living by modeling tasks, and effectively engaging adults with SMI using various treatment interventions and evidence based tools and techniques. You will be effectively engaging adults with SMI using various treatment interventions and evidenced based tools and techniques. As an SLS Therapist II, you will participate in clinical interventions in community settings as well as provide crisis intervention, planning and support, including but not limited to risk assessments. You will respond to emergency situations, communicating with supervisor and completing serious incident report within the 3-hour window.

You will utilize an Electronic Health Record system (Credible) to complete and maintain all required documentation within specified timelines, including but not limited to assessments, treatment plans, insurance authorizations, progress notes, treatment plan reviews, etc. You will need to ensure documentation meets agency, licensing and insurance standards and will be expected to meet productivity requirement of direct service hours annually. You will need strong organizational skills, the ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines and be able to adapt to a swiftly changing work environment. Strong communication is essential in this role as you collaborate with others (e.g. case manager, supervisors, psychiatrist, skill builder, physicians, etc.) to meet the needs of clients. You will need to communicate as needed with supervisors and participate in monthly supervision meetings.

Minimum Requirements:Master's Degree in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral science field and 1-2 years of experience providing services to seriously mentally ill adults. (9 months of supervised experience can be counted as 1 year of experience).

Preferences:Experience providing community-based residential services to seriously mentally ill adultsExperience, training and knowledge of medication managementLCSW or LPC or be able to obtain a license in the Commonwealth of Virginia within two yearsStrong clinical skills, organizational skills, and a desire to help others

Work Schedule : The work schedule for this position is comprised of working Saturdays and Sunday for a total of 18.75 hours per week or 37.5 hours per pay period. This position requires an individual onsite and is not eligible for telework.

Starting Salary Range:

The hourly rate for this position is $39.01 - $46.35
