Quant Developer - Hedge Fund - ~$400kA top-tier global hedge fund based in New York City is looking to hire into their internal portfolio management team. They're seeking a Quant Developer with the ability to translate research ideas into efficient code. This will give you the opportunity to work on the end-to-end platform managing market data, execution, simulation, positions, and risk. You will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge computational environments, capable of supporting cloud-based solutions, distributed computing, and other innovative technologies.This role offers you a chance to make a meaningful impact on the PnL as you work closely with PMs, Traders and Engineers to help architect the greenfield research and trading buildout.Trading over $1B every day across multiple platforms. You will have the opportunity to have an immediate impact and options for project and team management.Responsibilities:As Quant Developer, you will play an influential role in various aspects, including:Build infrastructure to facilitate trading pipelines in a production environment, designing and deploying research tools, and contributing to the architecture of our greenfield research and trading initiatives.Solving all the technical challenges associated within the context of a modular platform.Expanding trading strategies to new markets and productsArchitecting the greenfield research and trading buildoutDeveloping signal prediction and the trading platformRequirements:2+ years of professional financial quantitative experienceExtensive experience in Python (C++ is a plus)Ability to solve new and unfamiliar problems quickly and creativelyExperience in machine learning, data warehousing, ELT, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code.B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics (or related field) from a top tier universityAbility to work independently, in a team, and lead a team in a fast-paced environmentWe will respond to all successful candidates shortlisted for this opportunity within 3 days and advise all candidates to follow our LinkedIn company page for all the latest opportunities.
