We're currently seeking a highly skilled Senior RHEL Linux Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is instrumental in managing and enhancing our Linux infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency, security, and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities- Administer and support daily operations of RHEL Linux environments.- Deploy patches and updates to ensure system security and performance.- Manage security protocols, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanning.- Lead the upgrade of operating systems from RHEL version 7 to version 8, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal downtime.- Automate tasks and processes where possible, utilizing scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure related to applications, databases, and network systems.- Provide expertise in system troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis.- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to systems architecture, configurations, processes, and service records.- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system support outside of normal business hours.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Linux system administration, specifically with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).- Strong knowledge of system security measures, experience with SELinux, and firewall configurations.- Proficient in scripting for automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues effectively.- Strong communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with remote teams.- Certifications in RHEL (RHCE, RHCSA) or similar are highly desirable.

NICE TO HAVE - Amazon Web Services- Proficient in managing AWS infrastructure, particularly in identity, storage, and compute services.- Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure ensuring seamless integration with Linux environments.
