JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the execution of requisitions, receipt, distribution and tracking of all hardware, software/licenses onboard the ships and in the shoreside offices. This includes hardware and software asset management across all Shoreside and Ship locations globally. Ensure accurate tracking, monitoring, and optimization of IT assets, enabling efficient utilization and cost-effectiveness across the organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure all IT asset purchases adhere to established policies and budget constraints.Liaise with vendors to track orders, delivery timelines, and resolve any discrepancies in received assets.Maintain up-to-date records of purchase orders, invoices, and warranty information.Monitor software license agreements to ensure compliance with licensing terms and conditions.Conduct periodic license audits to reconcile software installations with purchased licenses.Collaborate with relevant teams to address any non-compliance issues and optimize software license usage.Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, peripherals, and other technology-related items.Regularly update the asset database with the latest acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and changes to asset status.Identify and flag underutilized assets for potential reassignment or disposal, optimizing resource allocation.Coordinate the secure disposal of retired assets following established data wiping and environmentally friendly recycling practices.Identify trends and patterns to make informed decisions regarding asset procurement and usage.Provide actionable insights to optimize IT asset management processes and reduce costs.Perform additional job related duties as needed.QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE:

Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY:

Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

5+ years' experience as an IT Professional3+ years IT Asset Management experienceExperience with purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, negotiations, and managing relationships with IT vendors and suppliers.COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

Hardware and Software Knowledge: A strong understanding of various hardware components, device types, and software applications is necessary. This includes knowledge of desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment, peripherals, operating systems, productivity software, and enterprise software systems.Knowledge of procurement processes and contract negotiation.In-depth knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management and industry best practices.Familiarity with software license compliance and auditing.Proficiency in using asset management tools and software, such as ServiceNow, WASP Asset Cloud, MXPAttention to detail and a high level of accuracy in maintaining asset records and conducting audits.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
