Cloud EngineerOur client seeking a talented Cloud Engineer with expertise in migrating on-premises infrastructure to the cloud, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer who will play a key role in migrating and managing our clients' infrastructure on the cloud. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with GCP. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud landing zones, infrastructure as code (IaC), and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solutions. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, an innovative mindset, and a passion for continuous learning in the rapidly evolving cloud space.
Key Responsibilities:Cloud Migration:
Lead and execute the migration of on-premises applications, data, and infrastructure to GCP, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.Cloud Landing Zones:
Design, implement, and manage cloud landing zones to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient cloud environments.Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Develop and maintain IaC scripts using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Deployment Manager to automate cloud infrastructure deployment and management.PaaS Solutions:
Implement and manage PaaS offerings to streamline application development, deployment, and scalability in the cloud.Security & Compliance:
Ensure all cloud environments adhere to industry best practices and compliance requirements, implementing robust security controls and policies.Performance Optimization:
Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and scalability, leveraging native cloud tools and third-party solutions.Collaboration:
Work closely with DevOps, application development, and security teams to ensure cloud infrastructure meets the needs of all stakeholders.Documentation & Training:
Create and maintain detailed documentation for cloud architectures, processes, and procedures. Provide training and support to other team members and stakeholders as needed.Qualifications:
Experience:
5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles, with a focus on GCP.Cloud Migration:
Proven experience in migrating on-premises infrastructure to cloud platforms, particularly GCP.IaC:
Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.PaaS:
Experience with PaaS solutions and their implementation in cloud environments.Cloud Landing Zones:
Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing cloud landing zones.Security & Compliance:
In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.Scripting & Automation:
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.Certifications:
GCP certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable. AWS and Azure certifications are a plus.
