We are seeking a
Data Modeler
to join our team of professionals for a long-term contract and work onsite in New York City 1-2 days a week
Required Skills Include:
Design and develop conceptual, Logical and Physical data models using ER/StudioSkilled in working with RDBMS platforms like, SQL Server, Oracle and preferably Cloud DBMS like Aurora, Dynamo DB, Redshift and Databricks.Excellent SQL scripting skills, to query data (ideally ANSI SQL).Local to the NYC area and able to come onsite 2x a weekAs a Data Modeler, you will be responsible for leading the data modeling efforts in support of a key transformation program.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish enterprise standardsDesign data models using data modeling tools to support business processesManage the enterprise data model repositoryProvide data model documentation and artifacts generated from data - ERD, data dictionary, data definitions, etc.Compliant with Bank's data modeling standardsApply industry standards and best practices where applicablePerform end-to-end data management from data analysis, conceptual/logical/physical modeling to database deploymentCreate structures that implement and enforce unified set of modelsPrepare presentations for business users and managementSupport enterprise data catalog setup and enrichment
Qualifications:Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills8+ years of hands-on data modeling experience with ER Studio.8+ years of hands-on strong Data modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical, 3nF, Dimensional) at both enterprise and data product level.8+ years of experience in establishing enterprise data standards.8+ years of experience in designing enterprise data model framework.Work with business architects, Solution architects, and data stewards to capture business requirements in a Conceptual and Logical Data Model.General working knowledge of traditional DBMS platforms like Oracle and Cloud DBMS like Aurora, Dynamo DB, Redshift and Databricks.Analyze and translate business requirements into conceptual and fully detailed logical data models.Create logical data models based on existing applications and databases.Contribute to ongoing updates to data modeling standards and guidelines.Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skillsEvaluate physical data models to ensure they align with the corresponding logical data models.Understanding of principles and standard methodologies around Data Architecture.Ability to write SQL to query data (ideally ANSI SQL).Experience with data integration architecture, strategy, and processesWorking experience in collaboration with product stakeholders and development/test/infrastructure support teamsStrong initiative, ability to self-manage, and work well in a team environment
