About the Mission You Will Join: The Department of State has entrusted VMD to perform internal and external-facing informational websites and web applications activities specifically for the Bureau of Consular Affairs. VMD's mission is to perform operations and maintenance/decommissioning & modernization activities over legacy websites to support ongoing operations and the modernization of its website governance, architecture, and design.

Your Impact to the Mission: VMD has an exciting opportunity for you to join as a Business Analyst working out of our Arlington, VA office. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:Perform process reviews conducts analyses identifies procedural and control deficienciesElicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis, conducts testingAssess business needs/issues, gathers and defines business application requirements, and writes effective and detailed business and system design requirementsProactively communicate and collaborate with users and stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirementsDeliver the following artifacts when needed: Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, User Stories, Use Cases, GUI Screen and Interface Designs, Traceability Matrix, and Task ReportsBe the liaison between the business units, technology, and support teamsWork under direction of project managers to support project deliverable completion and deliveryMaintain awareness of task deadlines for requirement and test deliverablesBalance customer scope expectations with application effectivenessExperience Needed to Be Successful:

2 plus years of Business Analysis experience, working on software productsStrong ability to create and update, epics and user storiesInnate capacity for initiative, learning, and highly inquisitive natureKnowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and Agile methodologiesKnowledge of business and requirements conceptsKnowledge of business research principles, processes, and techniquesExcellent written and oral communication skills using Microsoft OfficeSoftware development requirements analysis and testing experienceDesired Qualification and Experience:

Experience using Unqork is a plusDepartment of State or Bureau of Consular Affairs experience is a plusBasic Qualifiers:
