Job SummaryThe SrNetwork Engineer is responsible for the planning/design, configuration/implementation, testing and transition to consistent support of Infrastructure (Network/telecommunications/network applications) across the enterpriseEnsures the reliability, availability, and performance of the network, which is essential for supporting the day-to-day operations of the company.
Duties/Responsibilities
Design/implement and maintain network security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN gateways to protect the company's sensitive data and systems from unauthorized accessDesign/implement and maintain the company's network and voice infrastructureEnsure connectivity throughout the company's LAN/WAN infrastructure, including all physical and virtual networking environmentsInterface with customers, vendors, or 3rd parties to coordinate the implementation of secure connectivityRespond to requests for technical assistance from users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issuesProvide support and training to end-users on system and application usageMaintain up-to-date records of network infrastructure, user accounts, and system backupsProvide regular reports to management on network performance, availability, and securityExperience
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or experience5-7+ years of hands-on experience as an Infrastructure engineerExperience designing, implementing, and administering SD-WAN technology, Cisco CCNA or CCNP preferredExperience with Multi-Vendor Networking including Cisco ACI, Cisco Meraki, Azure, AWS, GCP, Palo Alto, and JuniperDeep understanding of SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, VLAN's and Multi-layer switchingData Center Administration and DeploymentAbility to perform capacity and resource planning, assess risks, recommend, design, and implement plans for network systems, and troubleshoot/identify and correct malfunctionsWorking knowledge of network security systems, firewalls, applications, procedures, and techniquesExperience in telecommunications and network engineering, with telecommunications, network hardware, and software components
