Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary:

A Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining all Stifel data and application networks. The candidate should have a deep understanding and in-depth level of experience with networking and SDWAN protocols, topologies, architecture, products, and solutions. The individual should also be highly dedicated to a collaborative teamwork-oriented environment coupled with several years' experience leading and managing multiple network infrastructure projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, administer, optimize, and improve Cisco networking and Aruba SDWAN solutions to enhance network and application performance and reliability across our offices, data centers, cloud, and B2B environments.• Develop, plan, and execute projects with colleagues based on IT initiatives including scope, timelines, resources, and risk assessments to ensure successful delivery.• Manage multiple simultaneous projects while regularly evaluating priority to achieve a balanced and efficient level of progress.• Monitor network performance, conduct problem-solving analysis, and implement prompt solutions with a security-first financial industry mindset.• Collaborate in-depth with cross-functional IT teams and third parties to ensure solutions and projects are appropriately discussed, delivered efficiently, meet quality standards, and align with business objectives.• Provide mentoring and leadership fostering a culture of open collaboration, continuous improvement, consistent learning, and innovation.• Stay updated with industry trends keeping abreast of the latest networking technologies, best practices, and their potential application to improve our IT platforms.

Qualifications:

• Possess in-depth knowledge of computer and telecommunication systems.• Exhibit strong logic and reasoning skills.• Demonstrate excellent communication skills.• Capable of simplifying complex technical information for easy understanding.• Able to work well both individually and as part of a team.• Have experience in mentoring engineers and other IT colleagues.• Able to work independently with minimal direction.• Display strong leadership skills.• Possess strong time management and project management skills.• Able to collaborate effectively and work cross-functionally with other team members.• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience• Minimum Required: 6+ years’ experience implementing, designing and or troubleshooting data networks

Licenses and Credentials:

• Minimum Required: A+ Certification, Comp TIA Certification, or CCNA Certification• AWS certifications or equivalent experience
