Project Details:
The client is a large healthcare system located in North Carolina. They are currently working through a myriad of healthcare initiatives and have a strong need on their data analytics team. The team is looking for an engineer to join the team ready to hit through ground running helping their engineers map out how to stand up their data lakes.
Must Have Skills:
Azure Specific experience
Data Lake-stand up experience
Postgres SQL server experience
Moving data from on prem to the cloud and mapping the data
Experience within healthcare
Education/Certification Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field or equivalent experience.
Additional Info:
Remote, EST hours. Background, Drug test, and flu shot
Must Have Skills:
8+ years Data Engineer experience with prior healthcare companies or hospital systems
BI experience
Database experience (SQL, Oracle)
Data modeling experience using semantic model
General data warehousing concepts
Data integration experience
Azure background:
Microsoft Azure Cloud
Azure Synapse
Azure DevOps expertise
ETL design and development experience:
SAS Studio/ SAS scripting (some ETL work uses SAS scripts)
SQL development experience
General experience with: Informatica, Cognos, Oracle
Nice to have skills:
Data analyst experience within clinical trial management, patient data
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Utilize data expertise, business and clinical knowledge and technical skills to successfully deliver Business Intelligence solutions that help solve business and clinical trial processing challenges.
Assess the impact of production system changes to the existing analytics and implement changes to ETL and reporting data structure code to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.
Transform raw data from disparate sources into actionable, clearly defined data sets ready for reporting and self-service consumption.
To participate in the end-to-end lifecycle of BI implementations including business analysis, design, development, deployment and continuous improvement.
Mine databases and other data sources for critical business insights as needs arise.
Document technical standards, build and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary. Work with departments to understand their business intelligence and data needs.
Assist in the design and development of new data infrastructure as needs and demands change including but not limited to data warehouse, data marts, views, stored procedures, ETL, and other database components to support Business Intelligence dashboards and reporting.
Maintain enterprise level scheduling of any automated jobs via Tidal/CWA, including creating and troubleshooting
