The Help Desk Analyst is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. They will respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, and determine and implement solutions.

General Job Duties

Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardwareRespond to queries either in-person, over the phone, or through email messages for customers seeking help, ask questions to determine the nature of the problem, and walk customers through problem-resolution processesInstall, modify, and repair computer hardware and softwareClean up computers to run diagnostic programs, and resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systemsInstall computer peripherals for usersFollow-up with customers to ensure issues have been resolved; run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occurMaintain daily performance of computer systems; gain feedback from customers about computer usageWrite training manuals and train computer users
