Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL and Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:Perform operational enhancements, maintenance and support of the applications within the E2E Forecasting platform suite; supported technology components include Java, Angular, Autosys, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Devops and JIRAResponsible for managing platform security/access, providing application and infrastructure support, executing code migrations, and ensuring technology processes are aligned with tactical and strategic information management initiativesServe as liaison between the enterprise infrastructure support teams and production support staff to ensure appropriate delivery of technology solutions in accordance with service delivery objectivesEnsure the platform is positioned for compliance with IT policies and standards and agreed upon service levelsEnsure the overall health of the E2E forecasting suite of applicationsBuild tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experienceManage code migrations, ensuring source control policies are being followedApply application maintenance releases, upgrades and hot fixes as requiredDesign, implement, and maintain platform security including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Exadata/OracleWork on Proof of Concepts to test new technologiesWork on Devops tools like BitBucket, Jenkins, JFrog artifactory, Ansible Tower and XL Release to enable Continuous Integration and Continuous DeploymentManage UNIX access, directory setup and required archival mechanismsCoordinate with infrastructure support team for outages/upgradesPerform platform capacity planning and management'sServe as an escalation point for escalated production and/or platform issuesCreate documentation of the infrastructure and operations of the platform
Requirements:
7+ years' experienceB.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)Strong Core Java and Unix scriptingDevops tools like BitBucket, Ansible, XL Release ,Jenkins ,JFrog ArtifactoryStrong programing knowledge in Java, Python, Shell-scriptingSolid understanding of application infrastructure on both cloud based and non-cloudCore Application framework/library implementationsSolid understanding of CI/CD setup and implementationsStrong analytical, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are mandatory
Desired skills:
Experience in UNIX, Shell Scripting/Exadata/OracleExcellent communication skills (Verbal and written)Willing to learn technologies like OpenShift (cloud), etc.Knowledge of cloud or distributed computing
Pay Range:
$58.26 - $66.26
