Gridiron IT is seeking a Security Engineers with a focus on Tenable to work 100% remote. Must have a active Secret Clearance!
Job Summary:
The Security Engineer with a Tenable focus will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing Tenable's security solutions, including Tenable.io, Tenable.sc, and Tenable.ot. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vulnerability management, threat detection, and security assessments, and will work closely with our IT and security teams to enhance our overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
Tenable Solution Management:
Configure, deploy, and maintain Tenable.io, Tenable.sc, and Tenable.ot to ensure comprehensive vulnerability management and threat detection.
Vulnerability Assessment:
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and scans, analyze results, and provide actionable insights to mitigate identified risks.
Incident Response:
Support the incident response team by providing critical information and analysis related to vulnerabilities and threats detected by Tenable solutions.
Reporting and Documentation:
Generate detailed reports on vulnerability status, remediation progress, and security metrics. Document processes, configurations, and incidents as needed.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other security engineers, IT teams, and management to address security concerns, implement remediation strategies, and enhance overall security measures.
Optimization:
Continuously evaluate and optimize Tenable deployments to improve performance, coverage, and accuracy.
Stay Current:
Keep abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and Tenable product updates to ensure the organization remains protected against new risks.
Training and Support:
Provide training and support to internal teams on the effective use of Tenable tools and best practices in vulnerability management.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, CISSP, Tenable Certified Expert) are a plus.
Experience:
5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on vulnerability management and experience specifically with Tenable products.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Tenable.io, Tenable.sc, and Tenable.ot.
Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, risk assessment, and security analysis.
Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security best practices.
Analytical Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex security data and make informed decisions.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
