Scope:
Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issuesWorks on problems of moderate scopeReceives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projectsYour Roles and Responsibilities:
Participate in implementation of various software servicesReview ticket requirements, reserving router interface, assigning patch panel demarcation, designing path, track FOC and DLR, requesting patching between equipment, and ordering cross-connectsTrack milestones and proactively drive any activities that may jeopardize orders from completing on timeProvide thorough and timely status throughout the entire implementation life cycle in the tracking system; including communicating vendor provisioning/install lead timesDocument service requests, escalate as needed, and provide timely and accurate updatesDesign, provision, and test delivered services to ensure quality hand-off to internal customersExpedite and escalate issues when necessary to ensure timely delivery of servicesPrioritize projects, manage and direct activities to deliver connectivity within project scheduleCommunicate and collaborate with internal customers, stakeholders and network carriersParticipate in metrics development and operational reporting/reviewsSupport planned systems maintenance activity while minimizing impact to servicesRead and comprehend vendor specific requirementsOther duties as required. The Successful Applicant
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor's degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceBuilds productive internal and external working relationshipsExercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actionExperience with basic telecommunications practices, terminologies, and interfacesKnowledge of cable throughput and transit distancesUnderstanding of telecommunications industry in a switched network provisioning environmentFamiliarity with DS1, DS3, and DS0's circuitsKnowledge of Access Server Request (ASR) to local carriersUnderstanding of provisioning network bandwidth for IP transit, fiber, voice and wavelength servicesPreferred Qualifications:
Network CertificationVarious coding experiencePhysical Demand & Work Environment:
Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standingMust have the ability to move from place to place within an office environmentMust be able to use a computerMust have the ability to communicate effectivelySome positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingersWhat's on Offer
Salary Range
$46,778.76 - $73,861.20 USD (Salary)
Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.Further, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position.
