Worksite: 350 Hudson Street, Floor 9, New York, NY 10014.Job Description: Design and develop high throughput streaming systems in production. Develop pipelines on K8s using Flink, Iceberg, Kafka. Develop sensor data ingestion and storage solutions. Develop microservices using Scala, Java, Python and SQL. Develop IaC + CI-CD pipelines with GoCD, Travis, and Github Actions. Define DDLs, views & queries in Snowflake. Perform migrations into Snowflake with Snowpipe, and Liquibase. Embrace the team’s agile strategies by effectively participate in the Shape Up and Scrum processes. Enable platform monitoring and alerting, and authors runbooks. Telecommuting permitted. Job Requirements: Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or in related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.Special Requirements: Position requires experience, knowledge or coursework in each of the following skills:1.Coding in SQL; 2.Coding in at least three languages in the followings: Scala, Java, Python, Go, Javascript or Typescript in the context of data-oriented challenges;3.Relational database technologies in Postgres and MySQL, including optimizing intricate queries;4.Working and deploying in the AWS Cloud services in S3, DynamoDB, EMR, EC2, and MSK;5.Using non-relational database technologies in HDFS;6.Big data streaming technologies in Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, and Spark; and 7.Develop, manage, and manipulate large and complex datasets.Employment and background checks may be required.
