When you join our organization at Prudential, youll unlock an exciting and impactful career all while growing your skills and advancing your profession at one of the worlds leading financial services institutions.Your Team & RoleAs a FAST Associate, Platform Engineer on the Retirement Strategies Technology Team, you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to improve the FAST platform.Location: Newark, NJ hybrid work arrangementHere is What You Can Expect on a Typical DayConfigure and build applications ensuring that the solution follows latest practices and industry standards for FAST, using modern design patterns and architectural principlesDevelop high quality, well documented and efficient code adhering to all applicable Prudential standardsthat stay aligned with platform vendor roadmap and directionDesign the business logic and integration patterns with Prudential Ecosystem, using modern integration, data, and security patternsWrite unit, integration tests and functional automation, researching problems discovered by product support, developing solutions to address the problemsBring a strong understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, and embed learning and innovation in the day-to-dayWork on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables.Developing, configuring and delivering solutions on FAST platform including, but not limited to core setup, workflow administration, reporting, data imports, custom scripting, and third-party software integrationsAttend agile team and stakeholders meetings to obtain business requirements, offer solutions, and provide input on FAST capabilities.Support product owner and tech lead in defining future stories and technical designsThe Skills & Expertise You BringBachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields2-3 years of hands-on experience of with FAST DevelopmentAbility to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challengesExcellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skillsExperience and/or expertise with the following:Core Platforms & Languages: Javascript, XML, JSONApplication Programming Interfaces (API): REST, SOAPUnit, interface and end user testingconcepts and tooling (functional & non-functional)Knowledge with FAST administration, development and troubleshootingConfiguration and administration of core capabilities, data model, integrations, security, access controlExperience with agile development methodologiesYoull Love Working Here Because You CanJoin a team and culture where your voice matters; where every day, your work transforms our experiences to make lives better. The salary range for this role is from $67,500.00 to $100,400.00.
