EA SPORTS creates connected experiences that ignite the emotion of sport through industry-leading sports video games, including Madden NFL football, EA SPORTS FC soccer, NHL hockey, and EA SPORTS College Football.We are looking for an Online software engineer to be involved in the whole creation process of technical features, from architecture design, to implementation, to debugging, and to tuning on multiple platforms and devices. You will collaborate on complex problems with Designers, Artists and other Engineers in the Online and User Generated Content (UGC) domains. You will work most closely with your tech lead and peers on the Online team, and you will report to the engineering manager for the team.

This position will be hybrid/onsite in Orlando, FL and is a 1 year temporary position.Your ResponsibilitiesDevelop technical solutions for online game features.Work with a proprietary engine to develop stable, scalable, efficient and shareable code.Work with people on a large team both locally and remotely.Work with 3rd party software APIs.

Your Qualifications3+ years of experience in C++ software development.Experience with Client/Server, Peer-to-Peer, and multi-threaded architectures.Knowledge of modern database technologies.Knowledge of networking protocols.Knowledge of good software programming practices.Experience with 3rd party APIs.Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.

Bonuses2+ years of experience working on Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo game consoles or other embedded systems.Experience of real-time game networking.Experience with Visual Studio and deep knowledge of the debugging tools.Experience in website development (i.e. Angular, NodeJs).Knowledge of scripting languages (i.e. Python, Lua) and/or interpreted languages (i.e. C#).Passion for the college football sport.
