Network EngineerLocation:
Plano, TX (hybrid- 3 days onsite, 2 days remote each week)Pay:
$50 - $60/hourContract:
6 month +Experience:Minimum of 5 years networking experience (Cisco, PaloAlto, FS switches)CCNA or relevant working experienceCisco certifications or other Networking certificationsOn hand technical knowledge of networking systems, protocols, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN technologiesStrong knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools: Solarwinds, Extrahop, Cisco DNA, Infoblox, etc.Experience working in an enterprise switched and routed environmentExperience converting from Oracle talari SD WAN to Net NetskopeWorking technical knowledge of current network hardware: Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and Cisco wireless technologies, etc.Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus.Skills in automation languages are a plus: python, java, perl, etc .Responsibilities:Monitor and analyze network performance across the organization's LANs, WANs, and wireless deploymentsEnsure the stable operation and efficient performance of division networksPlan and implement any improvement, modification, or replacement of network infrastructure componentsMonitor system capacity to determine its effect on performance and recommend enhancements to meet new or changing network demandsIdentify and remedy network performance bottlenecksInstall and configure all network hardware and equipmentInspect, maintain, and where necessary replace network cabling, voice/data jacks, and other network-related equipmentEnsure network and IP connectivity of all workstations, application servers, and back-end office infrastructureConduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development effortsEstablish connectivity and uptime service level agreementsBe knowledgeable about and supportive of Administrative Procedures and directivesPerform other duties as may be required of assigned by the Manager of Information Systems
