QUALIFICATIONS

:

Degree in computer science or information technology preferred; Relevant certifications are highly desirableWorking knowledge of information technology systems and networks that are used in the school districtFive years experience in a computer networking in a WAN environmentMicrosoft certification preferredCisco CCNA routing and switching certification preferredKnowledge of Fortinet firewall systems preferredExperience working with Windows, Mac, Google Admin, and mobile device managementExperience working with mail/web filtering, DHCP, DNS, FTP, VPN, NPS and other network services in an enterprise environment

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

:To provide assistance to the Assistant Superintendent of Innovation and Information in the following areas:

Technology Environment

Design, configure, and deploy network solutions to meet the district's requirements including maintenance, upgrades, expansions, and optimizationsMaintains and updates District networking equipment for LAN and WAN and wireless environmentsControls the security aspects of all IT systems by implementing and managing the necessary firewalls, filters, proxy servers, and VPNsMaintains and updates District user account distribution and life cycleMaintains and updates District and network backup systems including cloud-based and offsite systemsMaintains and updates District network antivirus and anti-malware systemsMaintains and updates the GSuite for Education environment, Office 365, and Azure environment

Other Skills Required

Ability to perform several tasks concurrently under varying deadlines under minimal supervisionAbility to exercise tact, good judgment, and initiative in dealing with students, faculty, and the publicAbility to work and collaborate with a teamAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing including clear, polite telephone communication skillsAbility to identify sensitive information and maintain confidentiality

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

:Twelve-month year with salary and benefits to be established by the Board of Education.

EVALUATION

:The Assistant Superintendent of Innovation and Information will serve as the evaluator with performance reviewed annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board Policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
