Linux skills Nice to have:

knowledge of Yuga byte and Aerospike distributed databases.

The Expertise We're Looking For

Expertise with centralized Oracle database administration

Expertise in Oracle RAC, backup and recovery strategies

Good Knowledge in OEM

Expertise in backup & recovery and migration using RMAN, Data pump, Snap and Clones

Oracle database build using ASM / NSF on RAC/Non-RAC

Shell scripting experience

Good Experience in Linux

Working knowledge in Cloud Support

Knowledge of Agile methodology

Interact with application owners/developers and/or technical staff

Ability to complete tasks and produce appropriate deliverables within project time schedules

Must be organized, self-motivated and be able to participate in the knowledge transfer to other team members

Carry work mobile and provide 24X7 Support, On Call Schedule participation

Must document all work in ticketing system and manage tickets in their queue.

The Value You Deliver

Perform regular maintenance of centralized Oracle and distributed Yugabyte, Aerospike database including backups, restores, data pump, archiving, and review of logs for errors or potential problems.

Database creation, upgrade and patching.

Regularly review space capacity and perform tasks to manage space usage through archiving or increasing disk space

Responsible for database monitoring, troubleshooting

Participation in Disaster Recovery drills

Participation in on call support

Identify and participate in automation opportunities

Education:

Bachelors Degree
