Role Overview:

The Program Managers overall function is to improve outcomes for young children with identified disabilities or suspected delays and their families. The specialist oversees and implements the program's disability services to support inclusion, early intervention, school readiness, and advocacy for children with identified disabilities or suspected delays. Supports the Vista Village mission and implementation of Head Start Performance Standards.

The VAC administrator's primary role is to serve as a liaison, coordinating between clients and their families, therapists, the clinical director, and the Vista del Mar and Vista Village organizations. Additionally, the manager will oversee all administrative activities related to the VAC, manage the sending and coding of clinical reports, handle payments, direct marketing efforts, and manage the clinical director's office

Essential Job Duties (other duties may be assigned):Outreach marketing, relationship building, cold callingPartner with Dr. of PsychologyKnowledge of private pay practices, billingManage appointmentsOrganize and coordinate the program's services which includes screenings, developmental assessments, psychotherapy, handling of payment, and coordination of staff meetings and activities.Coordinate and liaise between the VAC clinical director, the therapists and Vista Village administration and staff. The administrator will coordinate between the clients, their families and the VAC therapists and collect all reports, notes and other data.Manage the Clinical Director's office activities and requirements.Conduct outreach and follow up to increase the client waiting list and build community relationships.Collaborate with VAC staff to ensure completion of developmental screenings, developmental assessments, follow-up, and documentation of child records, according to state, federal, VAC Performance Standards.In collaboration with program management develop and implement an ongoing monitoring system that includes regular site visits, file reviews, analysis of data, staff interviews and observations to ensure quality of services for children with disabilities that meet federal, state, and Head Start regulations and standards.Monitor and document the progress of children enrolled in the program.Maintain strong working partnerships with service providers including Special Education and Regional Centers.Participate in VAC management team meetings and planning sessions to assist in the coordination of program services.Ensure that developmental and disabilities data is complete and accurate for all needed reports.Participate in continuous program planning and improvement.What You Bring to VDM:

Bachelor's degree in special education, disabilities, early childhood education, child development, or related field.Experience must include at least one (1) year of administrative or management experience which includes program planning, organizing, staff training and supervision.Ability to represent Vista Village at IFS/IEP meetings with regional centers or local school districts.Ability to effectively speak before a group, the public or community officials.Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Salary Range:

$70,000 - $72,800 / annually
