The Opportunity

In preparation for upcoming opportunities, we are seeking licensed mental health professionals for regular full-time and part-time positions. Candidates must have demonstrated experience working in humanitarian assistance settings and/or with professionals working in that sector.

This is a hybrid role that will typically operate during Eastern Standard (EST) business hours. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Required Skills and Experience:

Active mental health professional licensureA Master of Social Work degreeAt least six years providing counseling in a humanitarian context or supporting those engaged in humanitarian responseDemonstrated skills in individual counseling and group therapyExperience delivering trauma-informed counselingExperience providing psychological first aid trainingProficiency in EnglishHow your application will stand out:

Experience with multicultural populations, high-risk locations, or high-risk functionsExperience providing pre- and post-assignment consultationsBased in the Washington, DC (DMV) areaAn active Secret US Government security clearanceAble to travel internationally at short noticeExperience supporting individuals and mission-specific teams in the aftermath of critical incidentsExperience in consulting on work-related stressSensitive to cultural differences and beliefs
