AMDEX is seeking a results-driven Business Analyst (Level III) to support our Federal government customer.
The successful candidate will have a successful track record of performance in their field of expertise while being a self-starter.Assist in applying common best practices for the industry to the customer using a knowledge base to create conceptual business models and to identify relevant issues and considerations.Assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components and help to define the direction and strategy for an engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed. Typical areas addressed include Human Resources, Finance, Supply, and operations.Identify information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area's ability to support/meet organizational goals.Generate functional area strategies for enhanced operations in a cross-functional area mode throughout the organization.Participate in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments, and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products, implementations coordinating the resolution of highly complex problems and tasks.Oversee all aspects of the planning project, leading BA team on large and complex projects.Participate in stakeholder discovery sessions to gather, define, validate, and prioritize requirements.Play a critical role in translating business strategies and objectives into business requirements.You will be responsible for identifying, verifying, and documenting functional requirements using Requirements Management methodology and toolsAdditionally, you will analyze, design, and document "as is" and "to be" business processes, ensuring a clear understanding of requirements within the development communityTranslate business strategies and objectives into clear and concise business requirementsProvide traceability of business requirements to IT solutions and ensure system testing encompasses existing capabilities of the solution as well as future function point requirementsIdentify, verify, and document functional requirements using Requirements Management methodology and toolsIdentify data elements and provide data mappings/dictionariesAnalyze, design, redesign, and document "as is" and "to be" business processesEnsure the development community has a clear and complete understanding of the requirementsConduct and facilitate acceptance tests for solutions with the user community, including the development of UAT test scenarios and test scriptsDevelop, deliver, and evaluate training and supplemental materialsConduct and analyze feasibility studies/impact assessments regarding the implementation of IT solutions against current state parameters (process, application use-cases, and non-functional impact)Partner with Business/IT to define and manage the scope with each releaseRequired Qualifications:
15+ years of practical project experience working as a business analyst.Deep understanding of Government operations, including the business, processes, research, and data.Very strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Experience in building engaging relationships with technical and non-technical teams.Practical, current experience with Agile methodologies.Certifications:
Required to hold one of the following certifications.
PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis)CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional)CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional)Preference given for certifications.
Knowledge ManagementChange Management PreferenceSix Sigma (Black Belt)Security Clearance:
Public Trust High (Tier 4/BI) Risk Level
