About the RoleThe Senior Infrastructure Solutions Architecture Specialist (SA) serves as a product or solution subject matter expert, providing a deep technical guidance at strategic points throughout the lifecycle of our partnership with our Customers. Through targeted engagement, SAs help clear technical blockers, optimize solution design, and accelerate time-to-value for Customers adopting HashiCorp tooling. As a whole, the SA Team translates sophisticated Customer challenges into repeatable, scalable, and consumable product and process standard methodologies, across the entire HashiCorp portfolio, for the benefit of all field teams, Partners, and Customers.The Sr. SA for this role will be focused on the Infrastructure and Applications product lines to include Terraform Enterprise, HCP Terraform, HCP Waypoint, and HCP Packer.In this role you can expect to:Act as a domain expert and escalation path for Solutions Engineering (SE) to progress strategic opportunities across the entire customer journeyEstablish and maintain an understanding of the overall HashiCorp technology portfolioRecognized as a specialized Domain Expert aligned to, and in support of Terraform Enterprise, HCP Terraform, HCP Packer, HCP Waypoint and other products or solutions and the competitive landscapeAssist in complex technical due diligence activities including technical discovery, technical value proposition, architectural guidance, sales campaign support, and ongoing customer relationships buildingDeliver sophisticated product presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, workshops, and proofs-of-values to key customer partnersWork closely with the aligned Account SEs and our customers to help craft their vision/strategy for improving all aspects of application delivery, advise on how to use and adopt HashiCorp products to work towards their goals, and drive measurable value-based outcomesPartner with Account Teams to identify and manage Customer risks and opportunities as they relate to product adoption, renewal, and expansionCollaborate with HashiCorp Product Management to translate Customer business needs into technical solutions and new product requirementCollaborate with HashiCorp Product Management and Product Education to build and manage prescriptive patterns for core and strategic product use casesCollaborate with Value Engineering to deliver content as part of our HashiCorp Validated Designs, as well as our Customer Design LabsAct as educators and advisors to HashiCorp Sales teams, our partners and our customersHelp foster an environment for ongoing Customer success

You may be a good fit for our team if you have:Professional Level CertificationsHashiCorp infrastructure and/or application focused products (Terraform Enterprise, HCP Terraform, HCP Waypoint, HCP Packer)Demonstrate expertise in the field of container orchestration and development (CKA Certification Preferred)Demonstrate a good solid understanding in at least one Cloud provider in your given region (AWS/Azure/GCP Certification Preferred)

Proficient to skilled in the following areas:At least 4 years relevant industry experienceExperience crafting technical content such as Architectural blueprints and Recommended PatternsExperience in cloud containerization platforms is highly desiredDevOps concepts, tools and standard methodologies, and Application Development concepts for multi-cloudDeep knowledge of at least one of HashiCorp's associated domain areas (e.g Infrastructure Automation, Infrastructure as Code, Security Engineering, Secure Networking, Application Deployment) and how they work together to conceptualize solutions in a given domain areaOutstanding communication - Develop and deliver technical content for varied audiences from practitioner to executive level.Experience with either engineering/operating an infra platform that has its own internal/external customersExperience in major transformation efforts involving significant process, organizational and technology changeSkilled responding to customer objectionsPlanning and organization skills to balance multiple contexts
