Duties Description The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is currently recruiting to fill a position for Concern Coordinator, Mental Health Program Specialist 2, SG 23, position in the Hudson River Field Office. The incumbents will be assigned Program Unit within the Field Office. The incumbent of this position will function as a concerns coordinator and will support addressing issues raised by the public related to the delivery of mental health services.Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:•Serve as a support to Central Office in coordinating requests for information from providers, recipients, and the public, etc.•Support Commissioner’s Correspondence, reviews all correspondence, develops draft responses, and submits to Central Office on or before assigned deadlines. •Update and supports resource list for callers whose concerns/questions can be handled via referral, including issues such as how to access public benefits, etc.•Documenst all efforts in the Everest system.•Track requests and timely resolution as part of the data analytics function described below. •Present and facilitate meetings with HRFO, Central office OQI staff, and local county leadership to discuss concerns trends and brainstorm on system changes/solutions. •Provide reminders to involved HRFO staff to complete responses.•Support HRFO staff to have clear protocols for handling frequent callers and updates list routinely, works with staff individualized plans to offer a consistent clear response to frequent callers.•Update a log and tickler system for all requests for information to ensure that these requests are handled in a timely professional manner and that to the greatest extent possible each issue raised has been resolved.•Work with subject matter experts within the HRFO to draft responses.•Coordinate with Central Office on timely submission, thoroughness of the response, and consistency with OMH policies and practices.• Will also assist with supporting Disaster mental Health (DMH )activities for the region, collaborating with OMH Central Office DMH staff and local county government (LGU)•Participate in special projects and meetings as required. Supports Coordination of meetings regarding High-Risk/High-Profiles:•Attend all High-Risk/High-Profile meetings; documents the results of team meetings; and keeps track of responsible parties and follow-up items by regularly updating the necessary staff.•Send reminders to make sure that follow-up items are handled between weekly meetings.
