SENIOR APPLICATION ANALYST

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Analyst with clinical training to provide data support for Atlas and ElasTex (Natural Language Processing tool) to operational and research users. This role involves supporting various CHDI application workflows, monitoring data quality issues, and implementing new features. The Clinical Application Analyst will oversee requests for new systems, processes, enhancements, and other data opportunities.

This individual will be responsible for analyzing complex clinical problems to be solved with automated systems and prepare detailed requirements specifications, providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures to meet user requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide clinical and research support to institutional users (researchers and operational leaders) for our patient cohort-building software (Atlas) and our Natural Language Processing (ElasTex) servicesWork with project sponsors, management, technical teams, and clinical leads to formulate project objectives and scope of workWork with software engineers, system engineers, data scientists, bioinformatics analysts, researchers, and data usersTroubleshoot data and software workflow issues related to the OMOP common data modelMaintain clinical data quality using dedicated quality assurance toolsPartner with subject matter experts (SMEs) and technical leads to translate business requirements to technical specifications and user stories for development/implementation.Compile and review user feedback and develop functional user-requests to present to the product/development teamContinuously evaluate and ingest data sources that aid in operational and research data initiativesRepresent Montefiore in meetings and conferences as well as in publicationsRequirements:

Bachelor's degree in clinical or health informatics domain requiredMaster's (or higher) degree in clinical or health informatics domain preferredFormal clinical training and understanding of patient care workflows (either clinical degree or working knowledge in clinical workflows)Application support in healthcare, life sciences, and/or clinical research, with a working knowledge of clinical research preferredData and metadata management experience within healthcare EHR systems (Epic Clarity/Caboodle preferred)Experience with data integration and quality control in healthcare data systemsExperience in clinical informatics, clinical terminologies (e.g., ICD10, LOINC, CPT, NDC, etc.)Proficiency in SQL, with knowledge of RStats or Python highly desirableStrong analytical skills to analyze, categorize, and translate business/user requirements to functional requirementsExcellent written and oral communication skills including presentation skills for demos and user training and documentationDepartment:
