Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking an experienced SharePoint Operations Lead to support our Government Client in a hybrid capacity in Crystal City, VA or Norfolk/Suffolk, VA. We provide reliable Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamic 365 CRM platforms as a service to its customer base to host a variety of mission applications, collaboration, business intelligence, and workflows. Our team operates, maintains, assimilates, and upgrades multiple SharePoint and CRM instances. We examine and rationalize the existing content and customizations in the SharePoint production farms with the intent of migration to future generation environments.
As the SharePoint Operations Lead, you will be using DISA Governance policies, practices, and processes in addition to using cutting edge SharePoint technologies to deliver the best solutions to our clients. An Active Secret Clearance is required. This position is remote/hybrid & SIPR access requires periodic on-site visits at the DISA office a couple times a week as needed (the position requires local residence of The DMV area or Suffolk/Norfolk, VA area).
As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the employee handbook, communicating daily with assigned supervisors, Sr. SharePoint Engineer/Architect, and staying focused on the assigned tasks.
Responsibilities:
Track and help troubleshoot widespread issues in the environment
Work closely with the Delivery Manager to report on the impact of changes to the environment
Attend change management meetings to ensure the team is aware of changes to the environment that could impact the SharePoint & CRM platform
Gather information from team members and coordinate with Service Partners independently
Serve as a point of escalation to the Analyst, Engineering, and Leadership teams when technical coordination is needed across teams
Multi-task and juggle competing priorities
Coordinate and conduct virtual team meetings across a wide range of audiences
Ensure the team is following best practices while also considering the unique needs of the customer
Provide knowledge sharing and training as needed to ensure the team is informed of Governance
Ensure changes, upgrades, and patches to the SharePoint environment are implemented in accordance with the SharePoint Governance Plan
Author and maintain SharePoint Governance Plan
Ensure SharePoint Governance adheres to Microsoft best practices (i.e., performing recurring audits, etc.)
Ensure SharePoint Governance is consistent with overall Governance
Identify risks and issues in the environment and work with the appropriate teams to mitigate, in addition to identifying technical risks to schedules and performance
Identify and document capability gaps and areas for improvement
Identify and make recommendations for tools
Basic Qualifications:
Must possess a DoD issued active Secret Clearance
Strong SharePoint background, with migration and trouble-shooting experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools and capabilities
Strong knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and documentation
Synthesize business requirements into system functionality within the SharePoint framework
Experience updating technical documentation such as SOPs, Design documentation/guides, Network Diagrams
Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and solve problems
Self-starter with the ability to identify what tasks need to be prioritized based on the impact(s) to the environment and team
Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities with the ability to brainstorm with the Architect, Delivery Manager, and team to identify and analyze possible solutions for changes to the environment or processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively and professionally communicate across multiple teams and audiences
Strong work ethic with the flexibility to attend meetings outside business hours as needed
3+ years of experience with SharePoint Online with an understanding of SharePoint On-Prem and underlying services
3+ years of experience in a Team-Lead or Management role
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical specialty preferred
Project Management experience
Preference is local to the DC metro area
Knowledge of and experience with Power Platform and licensing
2+ years experience in support of DoD environment in addition to a strong understanding of DoD mission and business practices
Security + Certification
The compensation range for this position: $100,000 - $140,000 annually.
