Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking an experienced Application Analyst to join its Charlotte, NC team. This full-time position provides support for 600 people onsite and in a remote environment. The Application Analyst works in a support capacity to provide training, troubleshooting and customization of all application software.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Supports all software applications and hardware issues by responding to users’ e-mail, voice mail, and Help Desk tickets to provide assistance and solving problems as needed.Documents problems and resolutions to maintain internal knowledge base.Becomes familiar with firm and group needs and opportunities; seeks out and works with applications manager to evaluate needs and work on projects as needed.Assists in facilitating class room training and works to identify new training initiatives.Handles follow-up for new employees and additional in-depth training as needed.Adds new users to NT, Exchange, RightFax, DM, Carpe Diem, FileSurf, etc.Installs and upgrades new software; assists with conversions as necessary.Configures computers for use by new employees and handles lease swaps for existing hardware, including tracking hardware and software inventory for each user.Provides backup assistance to help desk analysts, application trainers, network engineers and network support assistants as needed.Attends regular IT meetings; informs the applications manager of status of projects, problems, requests, etc.Provides after hours/holiday/weekend support as needed, to include other offices which may include occasional travel as well as travel for educational/business purposes.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Regular and in-person attendance is required to perform essential functions of this interactive position.Qualifications:

High School graduate or the equivalent, college degree preferred.Prior legal or professional services support preferred with at least 3 years of experience in a technical training/support capacity.Demonstrated excellent presentation/training skills.Knowledge of NT networking administration and proficiency in some or most of the following applications: Windows, DM, Microsoft Office, Outlook, RightFax, Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis and ability to quickly learn, install & support new applications.Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively at all levels.Technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.Working knowledge of and experience supporting users in a Citrix environment is a plus, but not a requirement.The successful candidate must be able to lift and move computers and monitors.Team player, willing to assist team members with problems, projects and opportunities.Physical Requirements:

The work is primarily sedentary.It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.The work at times requires bending, squatting, and reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights.

This position may occasionally require irregular hours and more than 40 hours per week to accomplish essential duties. Work Hours: 9:00am - 6:00pm. Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
