Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a IT Specialist to join one of our clients in San Diego, CA. The candidate is responsible for administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of all client, server, and network infrastructure used to support enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications and services. The candidate will work in close coordination with other team members and departments to update, monitor and maintain servers, workstations, and network devices used throughout the enterprise. Additional duties include performing Microsoft Windows client/server administration, maintenance, patching, and configuring systems in compliance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG). Individual must be able to work independently and work within a team. Additionally, position requires flexibility as duties and responsibilities may be adjusted to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.

Compensation: $36/hr to $48/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Active secret clearance

Security 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

Experience with Cisco switching/troubleshooting connectivity issues

Experience digesting and implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)

Experience with patching Microsoft servers and workstations

Windows desktop operating systems (WIN10 SHB) Linux+/Microsoft/Cisco certification preferred

Experience with VMware

Experience with network and performance monitoring tools (SolarWinds, etc.)

Use of Enterprise Patching systems preferred null
