Description

As an

Infrastructure Administrator

at Impulse you will be focused on implementing and optimizing hyper-converged on-premises and multi-cloud environments. You will be responsible for integrating various systems, implementing required security controls based on a zero trust architecture, and building monitoring and alerting systems. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in rapidly building new systems while maintaining our existing infrastructure and ensuring compliance with CMMC and ITAR regulations. This position is key to supporting our growth in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

ResponsibilitiesImplement and optimize cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Own and support integrations between various systems and technologiesDeploy, maintain, and test backups and disaster recovery plans in accordance with the company's BC/DR strategyImplement and enforce network security controls aligned with zero trust principlesImplement and own privileged access management infrastructure as part of the zero trust strategyBuild and maintain monitoring and alerting systems, validating that all systems are effectively monitored with regularly tested alert mechanismsResearch and develop innovative solutions to complex and unique business problemsMinimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalency6+ years' of demonstrated experience working with Cloud Infrastructure: Proficiency in Azure, AWS, and VMware Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) environments, including experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform6+ years' of demonstrated experience with monitoring tools like PRTG, Nagios, or similar, with the ability to configure, manage, and validate monitoring and alerting systems6+ years' of demonstrated expertise in deploying, maintaining, and testing backups and disaster recovery plans, particularly within Azure, AWS, and VMware environmentsExperience with implementing and managing privileged access management (PAM) solutions, such as CyberArk, Thycotic, or similar, as part of a zero trust strategyProven ability to manage and support integrations between various systems and technologiesPreferred Skills and Experience

Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fieldFamiliarity with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) compliance requirementsStrong understanding of network security principles, including experience with firewalls, VPNs, and implementing zero trust architecturesDemonstrated experience working at a fast-paced environment, or comparable start-upDemonstrated experience working systems administration within an aerospace company

Additional Information:

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the
