UDT provides technical, professional, cyber security and managed services. This is a full-time hybrid position and must be located within 2 hours of Orlando, Florida.
Sr. Infrastructure Engineer
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of network equipment, servers, and virtualization.Install and upgrade components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance.Create documentation detailing infrastructure workloads and physical locations.Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.Monitor datacenter health using SolarWinds Orion and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed.

In-depth research, analysis of issues, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with network hardware (Cisco and Meraki)Proficiency with shared storage technologiesProficiency with Microsoft operating systemsProficiency with Microsoft endpoint deployment software (MDT/WDS or SCCM)Proficiency with VMWare ESXi, vCenter and Hyper-VUnderstanding of server blade infrastructureExperience with or knowledge of PowerShell and operating systems; enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring, active directory, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching.Experience or understanding of cloud workloads (Specifically Microsoft Azure)
