Senior Oracle Database Administrator
to lead and guide all design and upgrade efforts encompassing the Oracle Database environments across a large-scale enterprise Information Technology (IT) program. Responsibilities include:Ensure Databases are operating efficiently and effectively.
Support database migrations and consolidations (ad-hoc and scheduled).Oversee database replication, which may include the setup for new replication activities.Develop Service Design Packages and maintain SOPs for all Oracle database systemsResponsible for insuring compliance with all regulations, upgrade and optimize the performance of Oracle Databases and support future planning effortsConfigure environments for and in support of all Oracle database related aspects of user acceptance testing, functional acceptance testing, system-level testing, database security testing, installation/migration testing, configuration/compatibility testing, and performance, load and stress testing, as well as support of systems assurance tasks.Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhDMinimum of 10+ years of Database Administration (DBA) experienceMinimum of 8+ years database design including: capacity planning, configuration, migration, performance monitoring, tuning, security, data recovery and troubleshootingProven general knowledge in virtualization and networking, and a working knowledge of MS ProjectProven experience insuring compliance with all regulations, upgrades, optimizing the performance of all databases, and supporting future planningOracle DB certification; Version 12 or aboveOracle Certified Master certification is desiredCurrent ITIL Foundations certificationMust possess an active TS/SCIBenefits:Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligibility to participate in an attractive bonus plan.Peraton Overview
