We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to build and maintain our data infrastructure, ensuring our analytical capabilities stay ahead of the curve.GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe Data Engineer will be at the forefront of developing and supporting robust data products on a modern cloud-based data lake. The successful individual in this position will leverage expertise and knowledge of multiple technologies and data domains to help build a robust, scalable and reliable data engineering platform and enable us to transform raw data into actionable insights, driving strategic decisions that shape the future of our company.NOTE: This role can be based in either Whitehouse Station, NJ or El Dorado, AR.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESArchitecting, implementing, deploying, and maintaining data-driven solutions.Building and simplifying enterprise data pipelines with an emphasis on security, reusability, and data quality.Debugging and resolving application issues, performing root cause analysis, and engaging in preventive maintenance.Developing in languages such as Python, SQL, Scala, R, C#, Java, or Rust.Utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform for deployment automation.Participating in data governance to promote data quality and best practices.Leveraging DevOps tools to automate deployment and validation of data engineering pipelines at scale.Streamlining efficient data transformations for priority use casesPlanning and collaborating with technical and non-technical teams on business initiatives.Partnering with business units and peer technology groups to support analytics execution.QUALIFICATIONSExperience in building and maintaining data pipelines and data-driven systems.Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Scala, R, C#, Java, Rust).Proficiency with DataBricks.Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.Experience with big data architecture, ETL orchestrations, and BI tools.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBroad knowledge of technical capabilities such fields as development, database administration, architecture, Etc. Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 4+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
