Essential Responsibilities:
Keep up to date with functionality and advanced features of Cognos / MicroStrategy toolsAcquire knowledge of business processes and source dataReceive requests from the business and prioritize accordinglyResearch and identify the key business metrics and KPIs that will be needed for the reportLead storyboarding sessions to assist business users in defining requirementsDocument the business initiatives and deliverables of the requestTest and validate the deliverable to ensure it is accurate and ready for the userAddress issues and resolve requests for additional informationManipulate large data sets and use them to identify trends and reach meaningful conclusionsMaintain clear and open line of communication with business usersProvide guidance and support to junior BI analystsTake ownership of projectsAssist in data design and data modelingAdhere to B&H policies and procedures including data security/privacy guidelinesPreferred Education, Experience and Licenses:
10+ years using Cognos / MicroStrategy or other BI toolsExpert understanding of Business Intelligence and data scienceExpert in SQL coding languageExperience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, etc.)Expert understanding of Data Warehouse design and data modelingSpecific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skillsExcellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skillsLogical and efficient, with keen attention to detailAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressureStrong customer service orientationExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentHighly self-motivated and directedWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
