Sanitation Lead-3rd Shift

We are looking for a Sanitation Lead that is tactical and strategic with executing the team weekly tasks and assignment and provides guidance and recommendation to the team member. Coordinates and leads new sanitation projects to improve sanitation processes. Trains new sanitation technicians to SSOP and provides quarterly refresher sanitation training for continuous improvement and team engagement. Assures cleaning assignments are completed. Assists with time study for establishing new cleaning methods.

This diverse and unique position will expose the ideal candidate to manufacturing and quality processes and plant upkeep. This role will report directly to our Sanitation Manager.

ResponsibilitiesFollow all company Sanitation SOPs (SSOP) for cleaning equipment and facility.Performs visual inspection of all clean equipment prior to QA pre-op check for each station.Completes all required sanitation and SQF documentation.Performs visual inspection of work areas, tools, and sanitation carts at the start and end of shift.Monitors and performs random inspection of all sanitation related equipment including but not limited to automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums, foamers, cleaning equipment and tools and report issue to the Sanitation Manager.Reports process deviation and employee issues immediately to the Sanitation Manager.Performs weekly titrate and record chemical strength.Leads daily hurdle meeting sharing performance and weekly targets with sanitation team.Trains new sanitation technicians to SSOP for equipment and less than daily cleaning.Performs quarterly refresher sanitation training for sanitation team hi-lighting new cleaning processes for difficult areas and ATP/ environmental deviations.Back-up for Sanitation Manager for unseen absences and planned vacation.Verifies that MSS tasks are being completed in a timely manner and SSOP are being followed by sanitation technicians.Performs other duties as assigned by the sanitation supervisor.

Quality Assurance

Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet SQF, regulatory, company, and customer requirements.Adheres to all company GMPs and Safety policies.Perform ATP swabs on clean equipment to verify cleanliness and provide direction to sanitation technician to correct any deviation.Assist sanitation supervisor with root cause analysis for sanitation deviation and food safety related issues.

Follow company safety policies and practices fostering a safe workplace and environment for ourselves and our co-workersWork safely with the chemicals used in the cleaning process and ensure all chemicals are used at proper concentrations following chemical handling SSOP.Wear appropriate person protective equipment (PPE) while perform cleaning tasks.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.Dry Sanitation experience preferred.Experience leading a teamMust be able to follow instructions in English.Must be able to read, write and speak English.Self- DirectedTime ManagementMust have strong oral and written communication skills.Follows all GMPs, Food Safety, SSOPs per assignments.Must be able to use Step ladder/Ladder

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with minimal supervision.Ability to work with extended periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting in safe manner.Ability to interact professionally with honesty and respect towards Management, coworkers.Required to work 3rd shift, though hours may change due to demand, including weekends, or holidays.Able to lift-up to 50lbs.
