Job Description:

As an Infrastructure Engineer in the Campus environment, you will be part of a regional team, working with Lead Infrastructure Engineers to deliver automation, highly available network infrastructure according to American Express network standards, partner with the Network Operations Center for occasional support activities, and assist the Lifecycle team with Network Asset Refresh activities. Job Responsibilities:

Work with Lead Infrastructure Engineers on network device selection and design process based on American Express standards

Implement and configure network infrastructure according to American Express standards

Automate network infrastructure and processes

Partner with Network Operations Center to troubleshoot network issues when necessary

Support network infrastructure retrofits, asset refreshes, and remediation activities as required

Create technical design/implementation documentation

Collaborate with vendor partners to install, configure, test, and certify network solutions

Expected to be present in the office three days a week

Expected to work occasional nights and weekends

Travel 10-20%

Required Skills:

Scripting languages and configuration management tools such as Python, Ansible

Development tools (Git, Jira, Bit Bucket)

Security best practices for network design

2 years of experience in building and supporting large scale data networks

Moderate knowledge in routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP

Moderate knowledge in routing and switching technologies such as Spanning Tree, 802.1Q, Port-Channels, 802.1x, QoS, VXLAN, SVIs and Experience with Multicast

Understanding of NetFlow and SFlow

Strong IP knowledge, including TCP and UDP

Sniffer/capture tools such as Wireshark

Experience with Cisco Catalyst Switches

Experience with Arista Network Switches

Experience with router platforms and Layer 3 Switching

Good understanding of security infrastructure such as Palo Alto, Cisco PIX, ASA Firewalls and TAPs

Must be willing to learn new technologies while being able to adapt to a fast-paced service driven environment

Proficient with Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to communicate to all levels of peers, customers, and leadership

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience with Wireless solutions, such as Aruba or Cisco

Familiarity with Arista and Aruba switching

Familiarity with Spectrum and Splunk

Knowledge of Service Now

Understanding of SDWAN

Certification Requirements:

Cisco CCNA or CCNP preferred

Qualifications

Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually bonus benefits
