Position Description:
Thayer is seeking an IT Support Technician to configure, triage, and support desktop and mobile deployments.
IT Technician Responsibilities:
Set up workstations with computers, laptops, tablets, and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.)Check computer hardware (mouses, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionalityInstall and configure appropriate software and functions according to specificationsCoordinate in house network needs with 3rd party network management vendorEnsure security and privacy of networks and computer systemsProvide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipmentOrganize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without interrupting others from completing their workPerform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problemsMaintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance scheduleIdentify computer or network equipment shortagesKeep detailed records of our network's configurations, peripheral specifications, problems, solutions, and moreIT Technician Requirements:
High school diploma.Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.Strong organizational and time-management abilities.Strong customer service skills.IT Technician Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in IT related fieldOther details
