We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven

Technical Project Manager (TPM)

to join our

Program Management Office (PMO) . As a key player, the TPM will oversee and manage complex engineering projects for

SPARC , our groundbreaking compact fusion machine. The role requires strong leadership in engineering, design, and construction, ensuring the successful execution of these projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

Drive engineering projects for SPARC from concept to completion.Lead SPARC systems through the final design phase with cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, designers, and analysts.Manage the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, and construction of highly engineered systems.Establish project milestones, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.Develop detailed project plans with clear scope, goals, timelines, and resource allocation to achieve strategic objectives.Cross-functional Collaboration:

Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, analysts, procurement specialists, and other stakeholders.Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that promotes teamwork and drives project execution.Budget & Schedule Management:

Take ownership of project budgets and schedules, driving key decisions based on risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle.Track project timelines, identify potential delays, and implement strategies to stay on schedule.Regularly update stakeholders on project progress through clear reporting and communication.Risk Management:

Actively manage project risks, identifying potential issues, developing mitigation plans, and providing regular risk updates to stakeholders.Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Proven experience managing complex engineering projects with excellent project management and leadership skills.8-10 years

of experience in engineering and project management across various disciplines (mechanical, electrical, etc.).Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent education and experience.Strong self-motivation, accountability, and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Expertise in project management methodologies, planning, and scheduling techniques.Experience driving projects through phase-gate design reviews (e.g., CDR, PDR, FDR).Strong organizational and time management skills.Keen attention to safety standards.Dynamic, creative, and adaptable to fast-paced environments with interdependent technologies.Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

Experience with magnets, large/heavy assembly processes, thermo-mechanical assemblies, machining, welding, and/or vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI).Familiarity with project management software like Jira, Confluence, and scheduling tools like MS Project or P6.Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) is a plus.Willingness to travel and work occasional nights/weekends/on-call.Comfortable working in environments with industrial hazards (e.g., heat, cold, noise, strong magnets, high voltage).
