Job DescriptionPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIESServe as an Infrastructure Engineer providing storage design, architecture and support services in a virtualized and bare metal environment to operational and project teams.Analyze risk of existing and proposed storage and storage network solutions.Directly support server and systems administrators on Windows and Linux/Unix platforms for storage and data protection related tasks.Design, implement, and maintain virtual and physical storage fabrics.Design and maintain security management procedures for a Storage Area Network (SAN).Implement firmware/software upgrades for storage systems and SAN devices such as fabric switches and tape libraries.Plan and execute modifications to storage device and storage network configurations.Support disaster recovery / continuity of operations and ensure continuous availability of storage systems critical to BPA. This includes support of storage and data protection assets in three separate data centers.Configure and administer Storage Resource Management and Workflow Tools (NetApp OCI & SANscreen, and Operations Orchestration).Support vmWare servers and infrastructureProvide Windows and UNIX administrationREQUIREMENTS

Education & Corresponding Experience

bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology is preferred.

6 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor's degree.10 years of experience is required without a degree or an applicable bachelor's degree.

Experience should be directly related to IT infrastructure engineering.Required Technical Skills & Experience

5 years of experience supporting enterprise data protection, archival and vaulting solutions such as Veritas NetBackup/Vault, CommVault.5 years of experience administering traditional Fibre Channel (FC) networks using devices from vendors such as Brocade, McData or Cisco.5 years of experience dministering NetApp storage arrays in Data ONTAP 7-mode.3 years of experience rchitecting storage solutions in an FC or Internet Protocol based SAN environment.2 years of experience dministering NetApp storage arrays in Cluster Data ONTAP mode.2 years of experience administering network file systems such as NFS/CIFS with a deep understanding of NetApp filer interactions in Windows (AD, Client), Linux/Unix and virtualization environments.Preferred Skills & Experience

Strong knowledge of DataMotion, snapshot, FlexClone and SnapMirror functionality including understanding the implications of each service in Windows, Linux/Unix and virtualization environments.Strong knowledge of the storage implications for enterprise virtualization solutions such as ESXi, Hyper-V, Xen or KVM.Working knowledge of Microsoft Client interoperability with NAS devices (NetApp).Current systems administration experience in a mixed environment including Windows and Linux/Unix.Experience scripting and automating tasks using PowerShell, Linux/Unix shell (bash, sh, ksh, etc...), Python, Perl or another automation method.Experience in scripting and automating in Puppet or other configuration management tool.dditional Requirements
