Must Have Skills (Most Important):Bachelor s degree or four or more years of work experience.Experience with IP Layer 1-3 for Edge Networks and strong knowledge of MPLS.Experience with MPLS Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs.Hands on experience with virtualization of networks.Functional knowledge of TCP/IP (IPv4 and IPv6).Hands on experience with VXLAN and/or Segment Routing.Experience building Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and deploying network configurations.Five or more years of relevant work experience.Desired Skills:Worked with Cisco (VTS), Itential (IAP) or HPNA automation tools.Understanding of networking-specific technologies: IPV6, L2VPN, L3VPN, OSPFv3, mp-BGP, QOS/Traffic Engineering, MPLS (LDP & TDP), inter-AS MPLS, and m-VPN.Cisco and Nokia or other networking certifications.A telecommunications backgroundA strong ability to understand end to end call flows for deploying network services.Knowledge of or prior experience with cloud and scripting experience in Linux, Openstack, Python and virtualization.Job Duties:Responsible for engineering spine and leaf fabric architecture networks in mobile switching centers across the western US territory.Will need to understand network designs and work to translate them into usable configuration within the spine/leaf network.Build Methods of Procedure and/or use automated workflows to check initial connectivity and deploy initial configuration to spine/leaf networks.Building networks for interconnection to Cloud Platforms (VCP) for growth, capacity and expansionEngineering network solutions with a strong interaction with PNF and VNF applications teamsWorking with underlay and overlay controllers for network creation, network modeling, and network deployments. Leveraging plugins for network deployments across multiple virtualized OS environments.Overseeing network builds from procurement to In Service .Strong Interaction with design and architecture teams developing future networks.Work with peer teams to ensure new networks are built and migrated to meet KPI s.Must have a strong ability to understand end to end call flows for deploying network services.Managing network engineering projects to deliver on time.Project oversight and ownership.Education/ Certifications:Bachelor s degree or four or more years of work experience.Cisco and Nokia or other networking certifications.Logistics

:The 40-hour work week will be a mix of mostly day and occasional overnight maintenance window support.The candidate but must have availability to support overnight maintenance window coverage as needed.
