Optum Perks is a suite of B2C and B2B applications and services built atop pharmacy data. You will work with modern technologies on a suite of microservices and back-end APIs that help millions of users make their prescriptions more affordable.
In this role you will play a significant part in solutioning, designing, and developing microservice and other cloud components to support commercial APIs and consumer-facing applications. You will work in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with the business, product management, and members of a remote US-based engineering team. You will apply your skills in an innovative, forward-thinking environment that follows industry best practices and fosters engineering culture.Where You'll Be
To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on a hybrid in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our Minneapolis office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.
11000 Optum Cir Eden Prairie, MN 55344What You'll DoCollaborate with product and IT stakeholders to build an understanding of systems or APIs involved in integrationsDemonstrate a strong interest in microservice & API architecture and solution designRecommend complex integrated solutions that fulfill business requirements and align with technology roadmapsDesign and develop product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholdersContribute to defining technical road maps; identify technical improvement and refactoring opportunitiesEnsure that all delivered solutions adhere to industry best practices for scalability, maintainability, usability, availability, extensibility, security, and portabilityWork with geographically distributed Agile teams across the USAProvide accurate and timely estimates for features, user stories, and tasksIdentify and implement innovative solutions to non-standard requests and problemsParticipate in code reviews and adhere to best practicesBe aware of current security trends, tools, and requirementsProvide input to planning activitiesParticipate in rotational on-call schedules as neededWork outside of standard office hours as needed and, on occasion, support night-time releasesWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field OR equivalent experience3+ years of hands-on experience with Java3+ years of hands-on experience with TypeScript / JavaScript.3+ years of experience with MicroServices3+ years of working experience with CI/CD pipelines2+ years of Experience with Azure1+ years of Experience with Relational DatabasesSoftware Implementation and integration experienceWorking knowledge of, or experience with, Agile development lifecyclePursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company.
